Ever thought about all the waste and packaging in your medicine cabinet? Here's a great tip! Choose double-tipped cotton swabs (preferably organic) that are connected wit spindles made from tightly rolled paper over those made from plastic. Paperboard spindles are potentially biodegradeable and userenewable resources, whereas plastic spindles are made from petroleum and will not biodegrade. Across 10 percent of U.S. households, the petroleum energy saved per year would be equivalent to over 150,000 gallons of gasoline! How's that for saving the planet and helping to reduce our dependence on the ever expensive gasoline?!
