ConservingNow Community Change

Forsyth, MO Goes Green!!

Posted on Wed, 04/14/2010 - 20:49

The city of Forsyth, MO is going green!  Actually, they are already green.  Thanks in no small part to a group of dedicated citizens.  Take a look at their website. http://forsythgoinggreen.com/

Its fantastic.  Seriously.  I am always impressed with grassroots initiatives.  They are so important – starting from the ground up, working with community organizations, and involving the local schools.  Its an absolutely perfect recipe for community change.  Lasting change.

At ConservingNow we were so excited to work with the city of Forsyth.  Their green campaigners understand the root of the problem.  Missi recently wrote “[i]t is also important that we remember to be tolerant and patient in this proposed time of change. Change comes easily to very few. We must be patient and hope that through education and time that acceptance will come. Meanwhile, we keep fighting the fight to reduce our waste and work to preserve and protect our natural resources.”

This is so incredibly true.  For all of us.  This is the mission of ConservingNow.  And Forsyth.  See why we worked well together?  We both understand that change is slow, requires dedication and patience.

If you happen to be in Forsyth, MO any time soon – bring your own bag and your free ConservingNow window static cling.  And then you’ll fit right in.
