ConservingNow Community Change

The preparation for Earth Day has been extensive here.  We are delighted to be so busy!  From garden clubs to city governments to schools we have been working hard to send out a steady supply of our free car window reminder clings.  And this is incredibly important as each cling potentially represents 400-600 plastic bags spared from landfills, gutters and a very large plastic island in the Pacific Ocean. 

To date, ConservingNow has distributed 50,000 clings.  What does this mean to the planet?  It means that in the last seven months ConservingNow has kept roughly 25,000,000 plastic bags from ever leaving a store.  From ever making the short, convenience trip home and then 1000 lifetimes in a landfill.  How exciting is that?  The sheer volume of these numbers is outstanding.  And we have only just begun.
