Children are our future.

Posted on Mon, 08/10/2009 - 21:00

In the San Diego Green Initiatives Examiner, Andrea Holeman argues that all non-medically necessary plastics should be banned.  Citing pollution, chemicals and waste, Holeman believes that there is just nothing good about "convenience" plastics.  Fortunately, Holeman argues that our children agree.  At ConservingNow.com we agree as well.  We know how smart and knowledgeable our children are about eco-issues and at ConservingNow.com we are committed to helping raise incredible eco-children.  If you are interested in supporting school children and teaching them life changing habits, go to our teaching our children page and see all the ways you can support our youth.

Consider this: "There is bad news for the plastics industry, though. Young kids, ‘millennials’ as they are known, are hip to the idea that not everything needs plastic packaging and that plastic beverage containers might even be bad for them. That the ‘new car smell’ is just cancerous VOC fumes. They are also not fooled any longer by the ‘photodegradable’ plastics that still make their way to the great garbage patch in the sea, just as tiny bits that really do look like fish food. The plastic industry is worried."
