California Assembly Member Brownly has introduced legislation calling for a state-wide ban on plastic bags.  Additionally, the legislation would authorize retailers to charge for paper bags, up to $.25.  The bill is AB 1998 and was introduced on Feb.

Dana Point Turkey Trot Goes Green!

In Dana Point, CA, the annual Turkey Trot is a big deal.  A big deal with lots of goodies handed out each year.  This year, the city of Dana Point has decided to celebrate the Turkey Trot in a much greener way.  The goodie bags, normally packaged in plastic bags, will be handed out this year in reusable bags.
