Ukiah Natural Foods Co-Op

Posted on Wed, 06/02/2010 - 13:10

I have said it before and I will say it again.  We have incredible partners.  I was just taking a moment to look through this month's newsletter from the Ukian Natural Foods Co-op and can I just say that I am impressed!  This is a community supported organization that practices what they preach.  This month's newsletter is the perfect case in point.  The issue of plastic, paper and reusable bags was recently submitted to their members.  The result?  A thoughtful response and a change in policy for all members and customers based on the results of the survey.  So committed is the co-op to 100% bag reuse by their members and customers that they sought to partner with ConservingNow in that extra effort to help their members achieve this goal.  The perfect partner.  At ConservingNow we know how difficult it can be to remember your bags.  We have all been there - rushing around and suddenly you are at the check-out and your bags are still in the car or at home in the garage!  And its so frustrating because you know its such a simple action and yet such an important one!

We are all trying to make a difference - as indiviudals.  Isn't nice then, to hear about a great organization that is supporting us, as individuals, in order to make it a little easier for us all to do the right thing?  That's the Ukiah Co-op.  One organization.  Supporting thousands of individuals.  The end result?  We all win.  And the planet wins.  And our children's children win.  If you are in Ukiah or passing through, please stop by the Co-op, and stock up on some great natural foods, oh and don't forget to bring your bags!
