I was thinking this morning about all of my holiday shopping. First there are the presents. Then there is the food for holiday meals. Oh and the ingredients for my holiday cookie get together. And the decorations for the office holiday party. Its amazing to me how quickly each of these little errands adds up. In fact, its a wonder that any of us survive the holiday season. With so much to think about it would be so easy to forget your reusable bags. I mean, between the shopping, your family, your job and your life - reusable bags end up a low priority. We all are guilty. But they shouldn't be. If anything, the holidays should remind us that life is precious and short. That we should savor these moments with friends and family. That we should live each day full of cheer. And that our planet is precious as well. Consider it our home away from home. Something that the collective "we" share. Something that matters to all of us, no matter which holiday we celebrate (or don't).
In America, we just celebrated our holiday called Thanksgiving. There's a longer story, but suffice it to say that its a day to give thanks. Its a nice way to start off the "holiday season" - that is - being grateful. This year I am glad that the environment is mentioned nightly on the news. It matters and its good to see that it is getting the attention it deserves. I am also grateful that I am doing my part. Reusable bags are so simple, and yet have vast consequences. I am thankful you are using yours as well.
So thanks.
